To be considered for the scholarship someone must:
- Make their classmates smile on a daily basis through humor and other shenanigans
- Be seen as someone who is the "spirit of their class"
- Be seen as honest, loyal and supportive, putting the needs of their friends in front of their own.
- Fit in with various circles from all ends of the social spectrum, a friend to all
- Live life as if they're not here for a long time but here for a good time
- Value humor over rules and authority
- Be unable to afford college without various forms of scholarships; someone who is need based
- Be continuing their education next year at an institute of higher learning
Candidates will be asked to send in a piece of writing, video, song, or any other humorous project that they have created. (Look to the "About Cody" page for examples). If you make the judges laugh, you will be invited for an in-person interview with them. (6 ARHS '11 alumni). The ultimate winner will receive $300 each semester (for up to 4 years) to contribute towards the cost of textbooks
